Cards & Posters

I´ve found these set of playing cards the last time I went to my comic book shop. I was checking the monthly issues of my Star Wars comics and others, when I spoted the cards in the counter. Uau! Just 4€, pretty cool! Besides, it was the perfect combination, ´cause I´m an admirer of movie posters. And Star Wars posters, nuff said ;)

Na última visita à minha loja de BD, dei de caras com este baralho de cartas. Estava a verificar os comics mensais de Star Wars e outros, quando reparei que no balcão estavam expostos alguns baralhos de cartas. Uau! Apenas 4€, muito bom! Para além do preço convidativo, era a combinação perfeita, visto ser um admirador de cartazes de filmes. E sendo cartazes de Star Wars, não é preciso dizer mais nada ;)

Star Wars - A musical journey

Star Wars sight and sound spectacular will embark on a European Tour in April 2009, kicking off at London's O2 Arena.

The show will feature an extensive selection of John Williams' unforgettable scores from the Star Wars saga into an extraordinary two-hour musical event, also featuring scenes from the movies, live narration, and the 86-piece Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and choir.


I wish this would happen in Portugal...

This Halloween, Star Wars publishing goes someplace very new and very scary, with the release of the first Star Wars horror novel, Deathtroopers, by Joe Schreiber. The text for the back cover is still to come, but this front cover art by Indika is so creepy, I just couldn't wait to share it with you.

With such a great moment in the Star Wars history, it was a matter of time until we can grab ourselves a couple of good books for the journey. Big game demands good books. A comic book adaptation of the story and an art book. What more can I desire? Take a look at the preview from the Dark Horse TPB. The art is fabulous!
