Han and Chewie final concept art revealed

As time approaches, more and more things are revealed about "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens". Some days ago we got to know more about how Han and Chewbacca will (approximately) be, in the next movie. There are rumors that the Wookiee might have a bionic arm, but in the concept art that is not clear.
No we want to see Leia and Luke!

Christmas in the Stars

The perfect album for this holiday season.
I bet tons of fans, like myself, didn´t know about this... Gotta find this gem :)

Do you listen to the lyrics of most Christmas songs? “Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose” pales in comparison to such immortal lines as “Everyone will have a cookie, I bought extra for the Wookiee.”

Characters names revealed

A week ago, Entertainment Weekly revealed the names of the characters that show up in the 88sec teaser.

As they say: " J.J. Abrams, the film’s co-writer and director, and Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, have decided to reveal the identities of some of their new characters exclusively to EW—and they’ve done it in a retro fashion that should bring a smile to anyone familiar with the phrase “Collect ‘Em, Trade ‘Em.” "

We have the villain´s face

This is awesome news!
Red eyed, a hood, a metallic face, those fingers and... Vader´s mask! Darth Vader´s mask! Or what´s left of it.

About a week ago, Indie Revolver revealed a piece of concept art about (what appears to be) the main villain of Star Wars: Episode VII!

Here´s a brief description of the character:
"A Sith Inquisitor: He's tall and thin and terrifyingly creepy, with glowing red eyes to match his red light saber. He's got some robotic upgrades, like Vader - but no mask. The cybernetic bits weave in and out of him. He's got a human upper lip, a steel jaw... and the robotic hand that JJ Abrams posted an image of."

Two weeks ago J.J. Abrams twitted a picture of a cybernetic hand, and now everyone believes there´s a connection between these two revelations.

What are your main thoughts?
Do you really think this hand belongs to The Inquisitor or to a 3-CPO unit?

Star Wars: Force for Change

Awesome initiative with a fenomenal chance to be in Star Wars Episode VII!

Here what´s this is all about:

"Star Wars: Force for Change is a brand new initiative Disney and Abram's production company Bad Robot is doing in partnership with UNICEF and their program, UNICEF Inonvation Labs and Programs. People who donate $10 or more to this new initiative will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a role in Star Wars: Episode VII. The winner will be flown to London's Pinewood Studios where the majority of the film be shot, and be guaranteed inclusion in a scene of the new film.
Other incentives to donate to Star Wars: Force for Change include t-shirts, posters, film art, and accessories. For a higher-level donation, fans could even secure an advance screening of the film in the donator's hometown. The window for donations to enter into this contest closes on July 18 at 11:59 p.m. PT." - from Newsarama

Good news!

The month of May is full of great news!

As always we had May the 4th, with tons of incredible deals and bargains from lots of brands. I had my share with Lego, I got an amazing R2-D2 for a very good price. As a bonus, Lego offered a poster and a mini figure of Darth Revan, pretty cool!

Then, in the 14th of May, we had to "thank the Maker", to quote C-3PO. It was George Lucas´ birthday and I´m sure we all hope he still has many more to come.

Also during this month, we heard rumours that a new name was being given to the new movie, "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Ancient Fear". Check MovieWeb for more details.

We also had new from Del Rey Books, about a new title to be released this November, "Tarkin" by writer James Luceno. Indeed some I wish to read!

And today, the announcement that the official filming (whatever this means) had began! All of us fans already some some pics in Dubai of the preparations, a foot of a AT-At Walker or something similar if I recall, but today The Star Wars Underworld gave us this article that you should check.

All in all, May has been a terrific month for Star Wars fans, and we hope it continues to be with more thrilling news and updates about the new movie and the E.U.

May the Force be with you all!

"You will not avoid the Expanded Universe..."

According to Movieweb, the Expanded Universe will be out of the picture... it´s sad for me but at the same time I understand the choice.
Here´s what they say:

"New 'Star Wars' Movies Will Avoid Expanded Universe Storylines

While 'Star Wars Rebels' will draw inspiration from 'everywhere,' the new trilogy and spin-offs will be strictly based on the first 6 movies.

Shortly after Disney announced in October 2012 that Star Wars: Episode VII is in development, fans have wondered whether or not the Expanded Universe, which consists of numerous novels and other ancillary material set in this world, will be used for this new trilogy, or the two untitled spin-offs. Simon Kinberg, who is working on one of the spin-offs, recently spoke to IGN at WonderCon, where he revealed that the Expanded Universe is being avoided, and that while the TV series now in production might go that route, the new trilogy and spin-offs are limited only to the first six movies already released.
"You know, it's not off-limits, and it's certainly inspiring - I'm working on an animated show for [Lucasfilm] as well, Star Wars: Rebels, that will take inspiration from everywhere, but - I know for the movies, the canon is the canon, and the canon is the six films that exist."

Just one day after the Disney/LucasFilm announcement in October 2012, we reported that Star Wars: Episode VII would be an original story. Fans had hoped the story would center on The Thrawn Trilogy, based on the novels written by Timothy Zahn which many believe is a part of the canon.

We have known for quite some time that the spin-offs would center on Han Solo and Boba Fett, the later of which is being written by Lawrence Kasdan. When asked to confirm whether or not these characters will be showcased in either spin-off, Simon Kinberg wouldn't confirm, but he did say that they want to honor the original trilogies while telling a new story."

Is it real?

From the website Almost Nerdy:

"Star Wars Toy Photos Look Real

Wow. I must say I was speechless when I first saw these images.  I’m a big Star Wars fan and recently started collecting vehicles after a friend of mine took pictures in the snow of his AT-AT and Snowspeeder.  I thought they looked pretty real and just a lot of fun.  Vesa Lehtimäki has raised the bar with these images.  Impressive, most impressive.  I had to do a double take on some of these shots because they look so real.  He also has some great action figure photos as well. Click on the the images below to open the gallery and comment on which is your favorite."
